Positivity TM Power
For me, this is a time of year for appreciation. I'm guessing you, like me, appreciate the spring blossoms signaling the joy of a new fresh season. We appreciate rains that cleanse our land and seemingly our hearts, renewing our spirits.
April abounds with appreciation for me as I recall my involvement with Operation Babylift and celebrate the son we adopted amidst the chaos. (Yes, 33 years later, we still celebrate his anniversary!) This month I released Chicken Soup for the Adopted Soul; Celebrating Forever Families, and my appreciation swells.
May fills me with pride and appreciation for my colleagues, nurses who compassionately serve with their hearts and hands. The dedication in the new Chicken Soup for the Nurse's Soul, Second Dose sums it up: To all nurses, true angels of mercy. Thank you for continually easing the suffering of the world. As we anticipate celebrating Nurse's Week, Mother's Day, graduations, weddings, and Father's Day, let's take time - maybe in our 15 minutes of daily quiet prayer/meditation time - to recall and appreciate those special people in our lives. Let's give them a call. Write them an email (or better yet, an actual hand written note!) Send them a card or personalized book.
Make a list. How many people will you contact to tell them how much you appreciate them? |

Sharing these sentiments with them will be time well spent. Not only will it bless their hearts, your heart will blossom with joy and your spirit will be renewed. |
| Soup for the Day; a healthy quote:
We are very much what others think of us. The reception our observations meet with, gives us the courage to proceed, or damps our efforts. - William Hazlitt
